We are all time travelers. We just move through time sixty seconds per minute ... and usually in a forward motion. However, time is relative. Some of those seconds feel much longer than others while some whiz by faster than the speed of light. If only Einstein thought this way, perhaps we'd have a working time machine today.
Actually, we do have a working time machine, thanks to Swiss precision. The only problem with it is that you can't speed it up or slow it down unless you get one of those Korean knock-offs, but those are broken because even when you speed it up or slow it down, it doesn't seem to affect time outside of the device. In fact, I tried slowing down time using the device, which is strapped to your wrist in order for you to be included in its range, because I was running late for a meeting. I figured slowing down time would give me more time to get to my appointment. I arrived to discover an irate individual tapping his foot impatiently on the floor.
I cursed the time device, cleverly called a Watch, and tossed it in the Thousand Islands dressing bucket of the salad bar. Apparently, all you can do with the thing is watch it tick. Otherwise, the damn thing is completely useless. What's so clever about that? Someday I might find a use for that watchamacallit, but for now I'll rely on my social interaction skills and the fact that I can ask for the time in at least 5 languages.

A life cut short
I don't know her, but I know of her. My heart reaches out to her family. To her two children that will miss her terribly. To a fabulous actor who must deal with her tragic and sudden loss. And finally, to the rest of her family, who have done much for humanity, she will be sorely missed. My thoughts, as will many others throughout the world, will be with you over the coming days and months.

And then there were three ... er, two
Ok, so you don't see a white page, but I do ... did. Yes, you. Out there. Watching. Yes. You know who I'm talking about.
The point is ... everything's relative. Unless you're related to me, then it's not relative. Well, it is still relative, but is it relevant? Is anything relevant? Is Einstein still relevant, considering the overwhelming mass of scientific discoveries that have progressed science since his own minor contributions?
This will be a philosophical blog akin to a walk along a golf course under a starry sky on a balmy sub-tropical night. We will share moments of epiphany while we squander away the hours.
Are you up to it?

In the Beginning
In the beginning, there was white. Not pure white, but the off white one sees on the computer screen when contrasting it with a white dab of paint. Not that I dabbed white paint on my computer screen for contrast. Nor do I condone such behavior.
Then black chicken marks began covering the white. At first, nonsensical. But eventually...
